MEET JACK SUNDBERG
Jack Sundberg was the Washington Nationals 26th round pick in June 2016. A former University of Connecticut baseball player, and Co-Captain of the 2016 American Athletic Championship Team, he worked hard on and off the field. Jack was also both an American Athletic All Conference Player and All-Academic Team member for both 2015 & 2016. Jack was even the Donald Kinsman Award Recipient in 2016. The award is given each year by the Counseling Program for Intercollegiate Athletes to the student-athlete who has demonstrated universal success during their time at UConn. He was also one of 3 finalists for The Ruck Award which is given each year to a student-athlete who has displayed extraordinary commitment to community service or to a substantial leadership role in a student volunteer group. Prior to college Jack attended Avon Old Farms school where he was a three sport captain for football, basketball and Baseball. While there he was the recipient of the prestigious Jennings and Murray Cups, given to the top underclassman 2011 and senior athlete 2012. While in college Jack minored in civil rights, and has developed a passion over the years to help others and really wants to make a difference in other people's lives. Through Baseball 860 Jack has found a way to combine his passions of both athletics and helping others.
